All You Need To Know About Strep Throat

To understand how long strep throat is contagious, it's important to understand what it is. Strep throat is very common these days, especially among kids and teens. The signs of strep throat can be a fever, stomach aches, and swollen tonsils. While anybody can get strep throat, it's usually the kids and teenagers that get it because of the social environment during schooltime. They play together, talk, and have many activities with one another, thereby easily spreading the strep bacteria.

The bacteria always reside in the mouth and nose. So, coughing and sneezing is the main reason it spreads in the first place. It is important to constantly wash one's hands, and keep from touching other people, though it may be tempting.
